If you explain what has happened, you MAY get sympathy on that side and find that they are more willing to come back to the negotiating table than you thought. 

Example: Have you ever had someone who didn't trust you and was looking over your shoulder to make sure you did something right...The micro manager What if that same scenerio was with a leader someone who showed sympathy and empathy instead of quickness to anger and shortness in temper this might seem basic to the Real Estate Invester but in the Construction industry its new and for most a big change.

Don't expect any sympathy if this happens, they WILL keep your money.The EM will be credited to you at closing.

Obviously you love them and have plenty of sympathy for the position they put themselves in, but all the successful landlords that I have read about have a very different relationship with their tenants.
