You see, ceiling fans are far heavier than a typical ceiling light fixture, and the rotation of the fan also introduces some higher forces on the mounting than a normal ceiling light fixture.

Thinking about it now, buying more rental houses will increase my monthly income but could seriously strain my current reserves if something goes wrong. 

Work schedule (I work rotating 12 hour shifts), sleep time, family time, House work/projects, bills, REI, medical appointments, vacations, and on, and on, and on.  

While I can easily sit on the property as long as I have my day job, if that goes away, it would put a real strain on my wife.I'm hoping to reallocate to some positive cash-flow properties that will be self-sustaining even if I am not.If I can sell easily, I'm willing to let someone else have next year's 17% appreciation;-) (That's a zillow joke.)Also my huevos are all in one basket.

I knew landlording would be difficult, but never imagined the emotional strain that dealing with certain tenants would have on me.
