Finally, a new Clark County ordinance was passed prohibiting property owners and managers from discriminating against prospective tenants based on the source of their income or an eviction related to a loss of income experienced because of the pandemic (section 8 included in the source of income discrimination).Nevada previously was a very landlord friendly state.

@Kayla Carson, I'm guessing that house has appreciated quite a bit since you bought due to the pandemic, and if it's your personal residence, you'll be able to take those gains tax free up to $250k, so I wouldn't say it's too bad if that's the case

My rentals in Oakland are all either Section8 or Abode services (similar to Section8 but better) and each year I have raised the rent by 5 % and even in the pandemic the housing authority raised the rents.
