I used to agree jay but after our most recent transaction with them they aren't a fair intermediary they represent the buyers yet claim not to on transactional paperwork and also use their network against builders. a little manipulative.

Melissa, not trying to hijack the post, but I am curious about cross collateral, as I own a 5 unit with a lot of equity and would like to buy using same bank, using the equity as a form of down payment and the new property income to justify a higher tha 75% loan.

I never really know ahead of time which lender might be open to that before putting the full credit package in front of them, and many of them 'in theory' offer it, it's just a matter of exposing the potential transaction to enough credit unions and banks that a few "swipe left," a few "swipe right," and looking at the terms offered by those that swiped right.
