It is a overall wash as far as income is concerned.It is also a waste of good cash with todays interest rates being so low. 

The ozone kills the mold, however it does not clean, the mold is turned into a powder that can be washed off the wall or vacuumed.

Was he hoping for a big payout if they miraculously won the case and maybe sold the home?

What was most interesting to me was he also stated in the article, that the can be very expensive and he wrote "$10,000-$25,000", I called him out on it saying that it hasn't cost that much for over a decade in the industry, and asked where he got his data from (since a few months prior I sat down with him and answered all of his questions about cost seg).

You can rent it to yourself, but then you would also have to declare that income, so it becomes a wash and not a write-off?

Hey Mose, I'd say you're better off washing the walls with soap and water and then going with a paint w/ primer. 

I found myself occasionally going to a laundry mat or doing wash and fold.
