We have a landlord who is upset that people are leaving and so they refuse to answer the calls from the new place people want to move to. 

People are probably upset enough in this conversation that they might find themselves doing something they later regret, so what might happen if you paid rent for an unlivable apartment, or fixed things out of pocket, etc.?

I can understand why the tenant is upset.

Every tenant should be paying market rent.A typical conversation between tenants usually goes like:  My dumb a** landlord is afraid to raise my rent because I am a good tenant and he is afraid to upset me.

Let the other person be the only beoch in the room, so that it's easy to determine the other person must be at fault.I must always buy time when I'm upset.  

@Gerald Demers You're lucky that the moderators are treating you kindly (while you are new to BP, at least) as you have shared outside resources and websites, which seems to upset them.Also, you suggest that people actually spend money, which appears to be another thing that is not PC to the newbie-biased moderators.I also agree with you and Flyboy Jay that part of the nuance of investing is knowing what research  to do when, and to know your own tolerance for risk.
