Use schedule C PVC plumbing and hardpipe all your sinks/faucets. 

Plumber recommended replacing them completely with PVC. 

Each unit is made from a 20' shipping container and consists of a full bathroom, kitchenette, mini split, and vinyl flooring.

Since our rehabs generally have the same basic components - new like-wood vinyl flooring, new HVAC, updated kitchen and bath, new paint, new tin roofs etc -  we can get wholesale pricing on many items and streamline our process to keep man-hours down.

They gave me a bid on a detached garage once, then asked if I wanted to do the house in the same color.The house had new vinyl siding.

I talked to the Property manager and they recently dressed up 3 units that had deferred maintenance - vinyl, carpets, paint, etc.  

.+1 for luxury vinyl plank.I'm considering doing a dining room to bedroom conversion for my next project.

I suppose if you had the right pattern, they could work in a living space without looking overly institutional.In the apartment itself, I would lean towards vinyl plank with an area rug in lieu of carpet ... much easier to clean and deal with between tenants.
