The lender will request what's called a verification of employment and all the employment dates will come out and you'll end up having to explain everything in writing and the correct employment history put in, and then the underwriting decision would be made; however, I would say that an underwriter would be alarmed by that, let alone delaying the mortgage approval and upsetting everyone because of it.Rather than trying to make things appear to be one thing they aren't, be honest with your lender so they can give you the right advice and protect your financial interests.
