If you can avoid the traps of more=better and falling into the mindset of having to continually grow; then the passive income from a small portfolio will allow you to live work free, which I think most would say is a factor in their happiness.For us, our real estate portfolio (even before it cash flowed) provided us with the confidence that we had some plan for the future.
