If their goal is to generate revenue by sharing their knowledge and systems, they wouldn't even bother wasting the upfront capital needed to print/publish/ and package all the books, tapes, and videos that come part of the deal, then even more money on infomercials, advertising, and those long/drawn out websites that never seem to get to the point.

In my area, this doesn't happen because the "standard" form prorates (on closing date) based on past taxes (last know or published) and there is no ambiguity.
