So, here's my question: How would you acquire money to buy a home as a temporary residence, potentially flip, or rent out and add to your portfolio?

In other words, my interest in real estate is not fleeting or temporary.

Building a floor on top of a sub floor to fix settlement issues sounds like a temporary fix unless you have a professional engineer sign and seal a letter/report stating the structure has experienced most of its settlement or something along those lines.

That means the research has already been done; these corporate giants set up shop because a good number of people that come to Ocean City want temporary housing for 30 days and longer.

Or for another example I bought a property on the duplex on the eastern shore which has basically zero apartment buildings and very few 2bd’s so even though mine is a 2bd (which I generally don’t love) if it ever goes vacant I will have zero issue renting it because as long as I’m below a single family home in price it will get scooped up asap because there are no apartments to compete against.
