There is a good contingent of folks from SE Michigan here and tons of great information from people from all over.

So, while Michigan considers (currently) rent to own a business that does not require a lending license, Pennsylvania considers all of the above to be activities that require licenses.

My gut feeling is that i should have asked for more, but they being my friends, I felt like it would make things awkward.The house is right in the suburbs of Grand Rapids, MI, and close to just about everything.

Hey everyone, newbie investor from West Michigan here.

One was bought out by Western Michigan University because it touched on property that they already owned.

Is anyone lending at Michigan at this time?

The caveat though is that you have to be a resident of Michigan or have a business registered to do business in the state.

Robert, seems the same here in Michigan, but what do I know, I have had to rent only 3 times so far, 2 in May with a decent demand and one in winter with kind of the same demand, although the one in winter was in a more desirable area though.
