I went to school to become an architect, not a property manager.

An architect has quoted a 200k estimate for renovations to just the inside of the property.

But the scope of work that I was hoping my friend could do are things like helping me keep the project on schedule, which is nice because I work full-time and can't always pick up calls from contractors, architects, realtors, etc.

@John Williamson you could also invest some money with an interior design/Architect to help you put something together.

Sure, doctors, lawyers and engineers/architects and the like should be licensed because their expertise is technical and a laymen is typically not in a position to judge their efficacy.
