Asset protection is usually for those with SIGNIFICANT assets.. not just tyring to hide 50 to 100k or their car or something. couple things to check on.

Tell him it has a past history of this type of pest, and you are looking for a current assessment and a quote.I know if they are there, they can get on your clothes (hide in the seams), and then end up in your car, and then in your own home.

I would want to know why before I make a decision....With the ease of sending money online and having an auto pay system each month pay your rent, there are very easy ways to pay your rent even when you are traveling or very busy or too occupied to drop off a check etc.Its a red flag for me....... a flag that they are so incompetent that they have to pay stuff way in advance or they spend it on stupid stuff and then end up broke...but the flip side is that you at least get the $$ while they have it, but don't expect that to last.....the "got no money" is coming....Red flag for new prospective tenants that want to pay WAY in advance....they are usually trying to hide something.....make you look past your screening stuff by bribing you up front with a roll of cash.....big red flagIf these are longer term tenants I would want to know why and then decide....also depends on how far out they are trying to pay....1-3 months maybe...longer, probably not

People do all the time but for the guy that gets caught, fighting over spare blankets and pillows with your bunk mate in prison is not my idea of a fun time.There are tons of court cases available at your fingertips to show the penalties for those innocently (Or not so innocently) thinking it wasn't any big deal to hide the true intent of occupancy at purchase.

As Steve mentioned, if they were truly independent 3rd parties it would not matter, but at the same type, the opposite of hiding the bodies is true.

My concern is that if the tenant isn't home I'll have to ask him to hide a key for the contractors since I'm out of state.
