What's the best way to secure a property while you are rehabbing?

This is what I use in all my properties, once their staged and on the market (don't want anyone stealing the furniture):http://lasershield.net/There's no reason you couldn't use it in your properties from the time you take possession. You don't need a phone line...they have a wireless interface that will call you if there is a break-in, and if you don't respond (or don't want to disable the alarm when it calls you), their monitoring center will notify the police.Luckily, I've never had a real alarm, but the couple times an agent has entered a house without calling ahead, I got proof that this system works just as expected.

I've looked everywhere for a solution and this is the best I found - it's a sub-metering system that can be installed so that you know who is using how much, and you can monitor remotely: http://www.ekmmetering.com/remote-water-and-or-gas...You'll have to find someone savvy enough to install it, but the system is a few hundred bucks, well worth the investment to avoid the headaches.I haven't installed the water sub-meter yet so I can't say how easy or difficult the process is but it looks promising.Good luck.

Anthony and I have a long-standing friendship outside BP.Here's the story: a father-and-son pair of alcoholic Belarusian immigrant tile clowns with matching ankle monitors courtesy of the Allegheny County Jail were the impetus for my learning how to use cement board to lay tile in framed buildings, and by extension committing to handyman investing here in Pittsburgh.

I don't have information yet, I will monitor this post and also update what I find out about the job, but it's most likely an apartment complex, this is a small college town.I was also wondering if this is a position that would put me on the owners payroll and so I wouldn't need to start my own property management business?
