Our new to us, non owner occupied (first property) duplex has two very, very tall decks behind each unit that goes down to a creek. 

We didn't change the layout, but almost every square inch of this place was new or painted.

Depending on how bad is the foundation state (how many inches you have to correct), is very possible the sewer line will disconnect/break in the horizontal portions.

I would drive by and the grass would be about a foot tall.

I mean, my grandpa probably wasn't really 10 feet tall, but that's the way I remember him anyway...

The Russians start their negotiations a couple hundred below their original price and inch down, ever so slowly.

The cause is the house next door - they're older homes and were built only about 24 inches from one another. 

That is true for my area as well.My team and I decided to go off market, creating lists nobody else can get easily- tax delinquent, evictions, code violations, tall grass, no snow plowed etc.

It's a culture issue (same in CH and other locations) where home ownership is less common, people tend to stay long term, sometimes for all their lives.

I thought this was a tall order for me but as I said before, I don't back down from a challenge.
