(Openthewindowandmeasureitjusttobeonthesafesidepriortobuyingthewindow.)The statement seems contradictory to me, it implies that if a basement bedroom has a permit for same then an egress window is not required, however if there is not a permit then an egress window is required....Maybe someone can explain the apparent contradiction.....

My question is, since the property is a bit farther away, and I would be spending several hundred to determine repair costs, is it worth mentioning (prior to visiting the property) to the selling agent that I am not ready to pay close to asking and imply that I want to "play ball"?

I am researching starting an LlC in Ohio where my rental properties will be, buy I had read a prior post that seemed to imply that in this situation, because I live in CA I would still owe the CA $800 LLC tax plus the income tax if the net income is over $250k.

I'm not implying they charge investors for un needed maintenance, I'm saying these properties will be prone to maintenance issues because of the area and type of tenant and some turnkey providers bank on this.
