I’m wondering if you have any insight into developing and construction on properties that are heavily tree’d and a little off the grid, as far as installing solar and connecting to sewage and water.

Pulling permits, hiring licensed contractors, being someone anal about the carpenters/cabinet installer/tiler/painters work.  

A French drain isn’t usually that expensive or difficult to install however.

Powur solar does the same and a few others.

(A) For an accessory dwelling unit described in subparagraph (A) of paragraph (1) of subdivision (e), a local agency, special district, or water corporation shall not require the applicant to install a new or separate utility connection directly between the accessory dwelling unit and the utility or impose a related connection fee or capacity charge, unless the accessory dwelling unit was constructed with a new single-family dwelling. home."

But there is nothing like the eyes of someone that has installed a water heater, replaced a breaker box or laid a floor to really get to the bottom of the true issue on a home fast.
