Are there any 3rd-party sites that review / rank such sites ?

Social media presence is easy (relative to ranking a site) to build and cheap to advertise on, BUT motivated sellers aren't going to Facebook to find a solution to a problem that they have.

Start ASAP: it depends on various things, but Google won't rank you for a few months in most cases.
