So any appraiser will tell you to prioritize location, usually 1-2 miles max and ideally under 3-6 months.

I can’t help but think they were not prioritizing selling my condo and that has caused me to lose some trust in the agency that is selling my condo.

I personally believe the positives of FHA financing far outweigh the perceived liability exposure many caution of and its one of the few circumstances where I wholeheartedly believe investors should prioritize FHA financing over purchasing properties in an LLC.

Additionally, if the borrower faces financial difficulties, they’re more likely to prioritize payments on the first mortgage to avoid foreclosure, which could lead to missed payments on the second loan.

Lastly, I don't know what your long term plans are, but having a house to return to in the States if your international adventures don't work as planned can be a good safety net for you!
