Hey Mik, I have a condo as well and have thought about converting it into a MTR or STR but the restrictions by the condo association completely prevent this.

@Heather Watkins I prefer to see the posts where the investor is merely contemplating taking the steps you've taken rather than instances where they have already spent unnecessary time and expense on entity formation because we as a BP community can at try to steer the investor in the right direction.

What Colorado did was unnecessary and will cost them millions in less premium bids because of this new system.

If so, how did you deal with it or what verbiage did you use in your lease to prevent this?

Or, as of now I don't see anything that would prevent an option in which folks could take it a step further and move into their ADU, if they're willing to make a larger sacrifice, and rent out their main property as the STR.

I think the known and unknown tax implications prevent many Canadians from investing south of the border.
