I don't pretend to know what that's going to do overall, but it doesn't sound great. 

Of course, they can't do this outright, so true to the shadiness of neoliberalism, they've been passing laws or using protocols under false pretenses, pretending to do it in the name of progressivism (pro-tenant rights" and "pro-affordable housing").

I say yes as you're using deception (pretending to be different buyers) to induce someone to make a decision that goes against their own best interests (selling for less than fair market value).I don't think it's illegal, but I wouldn't do business with this person.

Furthermore, this proposal disproportionately puts the burden on property owners for other expenses that are still due (state property taxes, maintenance, utilities, etc)I don't pretend to be a constitutional scholar, but the 5th amendment appears to bar this exact proposal: "nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

Show up with a tape measure and a camera, pretend like they are doing something scientific, pontificating unscientific opinions, charging ridiculous fees for said opinions, then going home with no accountability for the disasters that stems from those opinions.

Just because every podcast tough guy and Instagram model/ renovator with 50k followers pretends it’s awesome doesn’t mean it is.

If a banker pretends to be a broker, this is actually great news, you can sue them for lots of money.
