$50k might work in some portions of central, north and southwest Florida but might not be all that great to work with in some places closer to SE Florida.

You can find these opportunities in the SE, Texas and the midwest - to name a few. 

Is rental income subject to SE tax?

I'm new here and am getting started in real estate investing; however, I am an attorney in SE Michigan with years of corporate and real property transactional work at one of the large firms in town.  

My marketing to attorneys has historically been to provide liquidity services for their probate and trust clients, not real estate services, per se.

I know SE is going transition even though I am not sure if it is the same kind of transition as Baltimore or not.
