@Todd Bailey, I have been doing some research about soundproofing because am currently house hacking 4plex two units upstairs what I am planning on doing is removing the cell, adding R13 Thermafiber Fire and Sound Guard Mineral Wool Insulation Batt and resilient Channel with resilient clips to decouple the ceiling and one layer of 5/8 š¤·š½

I have west coast and some MS A class rentals that I can self manage and never hear from the tenants except for lease renewal.. and this generally is not the case in C and medium BĀ you must engage and be on top of things.. one needs to remember a C class tenant is only a flat tire or stolen cell phone away from missing rentĀ LOL...
