These are also generally buyers (too live in it) and not renters.  10 years ago, prior to most of the tech arriving, I'll speculate the average household income in the area was under $75k.

If your rental is cash-flowing, maybe throw some of it their way as a thank you for them helping you start off in a great place, financially :)That is great that you work for a company that offers you promotion and relocation opportunities, but just like guessing what the market will be in 6-12 months, it's all just speculation until it happens.

They're planning on building a second bridge to Detroit and have plans to build a mega hospital in the city.Southern Ontario as a whole is very hot, but most places you won't see cash flow and it's more of a speculation game, which is very risky for investors.

In regards to "why people assume wholesalers are bad",  this is just speculation, but I think that way too many people are lured into thinking that anyone can start up a wholesaling business.
