My latest rental property had the main lines from the meter to the panel box wired in aluminum, and the rest in copper.

The only issue I have run into is that State Farm (in Oklahoma) will not insure houses with the old Stab-Lok electrical panels.  

So look check out that electrical panel and make sure to have a good, experienced inspector confirm what your friend told you.

The elctric panel is not safe and needs to be replaced, a basement wall has a crack and needs to be beamed, probably cause by water from the missing  downspout extensions. 

There is currently one gas meter and one electrical panel.

They came back a little higher but paid closing costs and paid off the solar panels.

There is no property tax exemption that I am aware of for having solar panels or any other eco-friendly modification.

Ultimately they made me spend, $200 on clips for an electrical panel which seem not necessary but also not a significant cost for a new property repair. 

Perhaps there's more deductions somewhere like opening a Roth, buying an EV, purchasing Tesla solar panels before the end of the year so I can put it on this years tax deduction but I don't think that will work since I don't think they charge you until installation but I'll have to look into it.
