There may be other factors at play that influenced their decision besides the claim.If you go elsewhere I'd suggest calling an insurance broker that specializes in commercial or multi family property insurance.  

Tell them about the "behind the scenes" stuff you did that can influence value too.

The only influence you can have is what type of rehab you will be doing on the house.

My goals in real estate investing are humble, but my partner is aggressively seeking to invest as quickly as possible, so we will see if that influences me at all.  

Jobs tend to be a bit better due to the influence from Boeing and the ancillary businesses that have grown up around it.

Where you live probably has some influence on rates, but it also depends on who is doing the work within the firm, how reputable they are, etc.

That's because people with money and influence don't want that mess making their neighborhoods like crap.

And since there's absolutely no proof anywhere that the hotels do this better than str investors, and the development of tourism and even the City TOT is benefiting from it,  why voting these laws if not under the influence of the lobbies?

No one on the outside has any influence over that.
