I keep a box at a pack and ship store (like a UPS store) that is centrally located near my rentals and open 9am-7pm Monday-Saturday.  

Many popular leases offered by big box stores and others require the system is removed, packaged, and shipped at your expense, if you choose not to buyout or extend the lease.

It didn't turn out so bad for me, free education, promoted from E-1 to O-3 in under ten years, Did I mention I get to drive a 13K ton ship through 20 feet of ice in Antarctica!

(I'm sure you are)...My plans toward retirement/self-employment/"just something else" are accelerating- Just working out the details for jumping ship now...  

They will tell you before you ship when they expect it to get there.  

Thanks for the replies.The lease ends November 30th, there are 6 months left on the lease.It would cost me a lot to fly over to Hawaii to move my truck out of the garage, so I might see if a friend can go over to the house and get my truck and have it shipped to me in Virginia (something I was planning on doing at the end of the lease anyway).I just got off the phone with a retired L.A. police friend.

I ordered the part and when it came in, it was wrong (still not sure if I ordered the wrong one or they shipped the wrong one) so had to reorder.The whole thing took about 3 weeks to fix from the time they first made the complaint.  

Good re-builders stand behind their machines too and usually have a slew of parts so no wait for an expensive new part to ship.

I want to write a letter of introduction to each of the units letting them know we run a tight, professional ship.

I'm glad that this isn't a reason to jump ship on this deal.
