I was actually born and raised in Dallas Texas and I use to work section 8 housing back in the late 80's.  

Read some books about house hacking and buy something now.

We only have this on our 3+ bedroom and it is not a big revenue generator except on our largest houses which do not have much competition as it stands.

Something about 80+ houses having major issues due to possible negligence.

How much of the S8 rent is covered by the program and how much is the tenant's responsibility is dependent on how much money the tenant makes.The housing department has a formula they use to determine the voucher mix.

This won't cost you anything but your normal monthly housing costs for now.

Is the house rented?  

This is my 5th house in Gilbert and I plan to continue with this strategy until I get 10 houses.

Once I find and buy one, I'd move in and rent out my current house.

Build site is a block down from my house, so I'm planning to manage myself.
