Don't let the insurance company get away with crap workHave them paint both doors if you don't have the EXACT paint code...And make it PERFECTLY clear that you appreciate them taking care of it, but stuff like this needs to be run through you first.....PERIOD.

You might be able to get away with far less than $1K depending on the condition of the property, but I've seen few bank or finance company owned properties that didn't need something such as a big yard cleanup, trees removed, paint, carpet, etc.

Most of the flipping shows.. if you pay attention to the final numbers at the end of the show, they're always rounded off (e.g. rehab costs were exactly $40K) also they list "gross profit" and quickly say "before closing costs and seller credits".
