On here you will see investors from California investing in Indianapolis but you never hear them say they bought property in Greenfield, IN.  

I would consider $1,300 per month a very low amount given the high living expenses in California.

@Hadar Orkibi I have always been curious about the NZ market, but have heard prices in Auckland can be crazy (similar to the bay area in California) what are your thoughts on cities like Rotorua?

If they are on month to month you can ask them to leave in CA that would be about 60 days.
