If the landlord is paying any utilities that are based on usage such as water, then I might discuss a rent bump to compensate for the anticipated increase in usage and address that with the lease update adding the person as an occupant.

Massive dehumidifiers are filling with at least 3-4 gallons of water daily - we can't rent until a slew of multi thousand dollar repairs are completed.We were told that the dehumidifiers the sellers had in the house were only used during the spring when snowmelt was very bad.

I don't have any experience with that company specifically, but assuming it is a 'build to rent' type program, I have yet to hear of anyone who has a completely satisfactory experience purchasing through these.Regarding the area that property is in specifically, it's going to be a very rural area, currently with low rental demand and a bit higher crime rates compared to the surrounding area.
