The Canadian tariff made money elsewhere in the lumber production business, probably the mill operators and retail levels, but not for landowners. another brilliant point Sir.... our dimensional lumber has sky rocketed but delivered log has lagged and harvest prices ( logging has gone up) there by squeezing log owner profits.. in our area guys have tried the faster growing types of wood with mixed results and in the North Sacramento valley vast plantations of fst growing Eucalyptus have been planted with mix results..
