Are there new restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc opening up.#8.   

This includes beach and inland tourist hotels and villas ,tea and coffee estates, wildlife ranches, maisonettes and many more.

Id love to connect and network with others in my area, so I'm extending an open invite for coffee to anyone in the Hampton Roads area that wants to meet up and just talk real estate. 

You can secret shop other properties to get a lot of that information, too.

I don't love the idea of paying PMI or extra fees, and the first lender I've gotten pre-approved with doesn't even do FHA loans, although I would probably shop around before committing to a mortgage anyways.

Like someone else had previously said I would call your broker and thy should be able to shop the coverage. 

(Yes) We could shop at a place 50 times and have one bad experience and then go give them a terrible tongue lashing online.

I saw a BP article that mentioned the site neighborhoodscout.com.  It looks very interesting.  I've been narrowing down new cities that I'd like to invest in with a group of people and we've been going the normal rout...

I'm not aware of any one-stop shop websites that will help you with every aspect of the 1031 from start to finish.
