The shortage of extra cash being the major problem due to the following: 1) my low paying job and no job oppurtunities in my area , 2)Positive Cash flow from my investments low due to creative financing and purchaseing with no front monies, 3) Repairs and remodeling costs due to high prices of materials and etc.

I am also thinking of maybe exploring Thunderbay, (the prices there seem good, quite a bit of the properties work with the math, and there is always a shortage of rentals due to the student population), but another part of me thinks of exploring across the border down in the US.

Hi James,Whidbey Island has a supply/demand shortage of rentals in some areas and has experienced rent increases like other areas in more mainstream metropolitan areas.  

There's no shortage there.

Poor tenants find it very hard to find decent housing.My point is the LL has a built in advantage as a result of the housing shortage in my market. 

Face it, there's a housing shortage today, severe in the West. 

I'm back hunting for foreclosures but apperantly there is a shortage of good deals & the ones available are flying off the shelf with people paying more than I would.

Choose your poison I guess....It seems to me that one could take their Income Tax savings and use them to assist with the property shortages if/when they occur.

Areas where water is abundant versus where there near annual shortages are a major concern.

I also talked to a local realtor and she said the inventory shortage has cabins way over-priced and many people are underwater.
