This is the income that will allow me to travel a couple times a year, go see my mom twice a year, buy her some nice things, make a difference in some less fortunate people’s and animals lives, continue to buy some properties, support a child, have a fun weekend car, etc.

We are collectively animals.

Notably how much do they smoke and how many animals do they have. 

I'm a small-animal veterinarian.

But, if you go to a place like NYC, it's an entirely different animal.  

While my one friend laughs at me and thinks in his mind I just need to get over it and "conquer" the situation, his wife says "nothing wrong with a healthy respect for a 600 lb animal".

Due diligence is another animal all together but the answer to your original question is "YES, you can!"

I never calculated how much i need to retire- i just figure i'll keep working until my sons has a big enough nest egg since he wants to help the world and animals i'll never actually retire-  plus with my goals i need like 5mm + in residual to be able to settle down on my work. but i guess even then i'll still push to see others keep to where i'm at. so i don't think i'll ever truelly retire-
