To say USA problems are smaller then everywhere else, simply declares ones exceptionally limited scope of worldly travel, knowledge and experience. 

I was thinking of changing my plan and looking somewhere closer where the travel distance to my job isn’t that much.

I STR my primary when I travel and have a STR in Tulsa, OK.🙌  make connections with other Airbnb strategy investors and gain the confidence to BRRR my first property with no previous construction experience 😅🤝  make a great connection with someone who is an expert in BRRR method 

If you want seek that golden lifestyle and looking for that hassle free life, perhaps renting that beautiful apartment and travelling to different countries would be ideal.

But if you plan to travel back and forth, just make sure that the people you have working on your property are highly reputable and trustworthy.

Safe travels

So long story short we have a traveling nurse staying at our rental that got some water damage when the roof was being replaced, they don't have renter's insurance (which we require in the renter's agreement they sign), water damage has been remedied and is cosmetically minimally affected and still very much in a liveable state.

Over the past 10 years, my focus has been on building a business consulting company, but travel has impacted my young family.

Our current criteria are: no evictions, no bankruptcy, income 2.5x rent, max of 5 non-medical related collection items, and no collections related to unpaid rent or other past rental related obligations.
