Could be either.If you think he is really doing wrong here, then you could call the State Contr License Board and lodge a complaint....that is something no Contr wants to have happen, because that can stay on their record.

States/localities have different rules, like providing rebate of rents due while repairs are being made, or assistance with finding lodging during repairs, or some just let you give notice to end the lease if no longer habitable.

I know the cabin should have a lodge feel at minimum, however I'm not sure if a hybrid look with both sheetrock and tongue & groove wood would be better than 100% "wood out" tongue & groove pine look.
