Owning a home also gives you stability (ie your landlord can't decide to sell your home), flexibility to do what you want to with the home and the money you are paying is paying down your mortgage, not your landlord's.One other question is do you plan on moving anytime soon?

That may be a little too aggressive but I do enjoy landlord friendly states as opposed to the tenant friendly ones.

We have a 14-page management contract that we've added our real experiences to over the years, with the intent of protecting both us AND the landlord.

Park owners always own the land, sometimes they will own the homes and rent/lease them to tenants.

We would prefer not to be landlords in California unless it's a house hack (like what we plan to do with the RV pad).
