Can anyone with MTR experience in downtown Salt Lake City give me their pros/cons?

@Chris Hutchens Eastside primarily (most distressed area that is a big focus outside of downtown), Harvard Place/Eastlawn, Denver Heights .. many near St Phillips Coll, UTSA, & the AT&T Ctr .. and expand out

Go downtown, start understanding all the revitalization that's been happening in the city for 10 years.

Thinking about purchasing MF in downtown Des Moines.

I like land locked areas and urban markets as do most firms. look at where banks buy buildings. mostly 20 story buildings in downtown markets for a reason. asset protection and preservation so we try to do it as close as possible. there are lenders in columbus that do 100% hard money financing for renovation loans that based on experience make concessions to experience operators. we are vertically integrated though for design, build, entitlement, leasing, and brokerage so there isn't much missing. licensed general contractor. 

@Andres Rodriguez are there areas that rent well, such as the downtown area?

As far as location, it is very sought after as it is is very close to the airport, easy access to the Space Coast on the 528, the 417 will take you right to Disney and downtown is just West on the 408.

Marietta BLVD will be completely different driving from downtown to Smyrna in the next few years. 

Temple and Downtown Philly aren't bad, but one still needs to be cognizant of the blocks, streets, and crime.  

You could even look at making the 2nd unit into a STR, before permits come in, since STRs are legal here in Vista.We're in Vista close to downtown and love the area (besides the noise from the train).
