I've seen so many super intelligent real estate investors make no traction because they can't move from learning mode to action mode.

However, you don't get the super warm weather that you get in florida either or say texas either.   

This is a good idea and one that will be super valuable long term!

No need to spend a crazy amount on super nice finishes in neighborhoods like this unless you are trying to flip it/sell. 

These neighborhoods remind me of Greenpoint and Williamsburg 10-15 years ago before they became super gentrified.

For example I understand your brother is in charge of maintenance, but what if he wants to go super cheap on something that breaks later on and it cost more money.

Note that these folks are super hard on properties though.
