Look at competitors in your area you might immolation.  

Just look up some competitors on Vrbo and Airbnb.

We did that because one of our local competitors has a history of spltting up a big project into multiple work orders to keep them all under their approval threshold.

Change the keywords around, look for different size lots, BRs, BAs, features Etc....sometimes different places will popup if you search like this....When you find a place, go search on a competitors search engine, you will often find more pictures, a different description, better historical data, etc..

When you've nailed your locations and found the (potential) properties, dig deep into the ideas that you have - Look at long/short term rent prices in those areas (competitor analysis), try to get some numbers about tourism to see whether an AirBNB even pays off (customer analysis), make sure there are reliable management companies around, how those properties could be financed, etc.3.
