That was a good idea obtaining houses near a medical school as the potential renters from the medical school would need housing and would be spending most of their time at school/clinic or in their books.

That said, I think a STR near the clinic could do really well.

I think in a few years after the medical school is built and the Cancer Center  (I didn't mention but the VA clinic is going to open a clinic around this area also), rent is going to increase. 

For instance one of the top colleges in Ohio is here (CWRU) and it's right next to US hospital system, performing arts and not far from Cleveland Clinic.

I like what I've seen in San Antonio as well and may try to do a clinical rotation there next year or another Texas market like DFW.

The top 10 largest employers in Kansas City are the following:Federal Government, Cerner Corporation, Children's Mercy Hospitals & Clinics, Internal Revenue Service, City of Kansas City, University of Missouri - Kansas City, Honeywell FM&T, Hallmark Cards Inc, Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, and Burns & McDonnell.

I say that as there are online EMT schools where you do the didactic portion online and then do the skills portion and of course clinicals in-person. 

Also, the Cleveland Clinic (the largest employer in Ohio) is located just down the road from Cleveland Heights.
