Hi everyone-We haven’t been able to get renters for our 3 bedroom, 2 bath property in Barryville, NYNow that we are entering into November we are worried that it will be vacant for the winter.Property manager has mentioned AirBNB / STR as an option but with property being empty for 4-5 months now ( long story - last tenants left it in shambles). we are debating whether to sell it as funds are scarce.I’m currently using zillow and posting on FB.Any other resources anyone can recommend for a rural community ?

I would go to $1,050 in year 1 and $1,250 in year 2 (or something similar) and provide ample notice.

Unit 1 is currently 1B1B and unit 2 is 4B1B, but the listing agent said the 1st unit could be converted back to the original 2 bedroom making the 2nd unit a 3 bedroom if wanted/needed.

(E.g Long term 30 year tenant with rent control is paying $1200 a month moves out, new tenant is now paying $3200 market rate rent on 1 bedroom apt). 

One of the reasons there is short supply of housing is because guy bought a 5 bedroom in 1980 and he is paying $1000 a year for it.
