I am a contractor who installs window film for commercial and residential applications, with an emphasis on commercial.

I also write music for TV/film/video and generate a modest supplementary income from that, but I want to have a cash flow to fall back on/fund bigger and bigger deals. 

Depends on your system as a drive may hold a year's worth of video 24/7, cheaper systems don't, so rotate storage.You need to be professional about filming folks, your security officers are not to discuss or even mention what they might be seeing on video, this is like top secret for James Bond.

Its just like people after pursuing engineering move to film making cause they are interested in it.

I'm lucky enough to be able to compose music for film and video in addition to my main job, so I'm working with music all the time!

Some warranties (Vinyl Kraft) address "dust or film" between the panes, but I'm not sure a lawyer (if ever needed) would consider "condensation" or water - the same as a "film";  I wouldn't. 

I moved here with my wife and daughter to work as a film editor of animated movies.

You should have everything outlined on paper, film your discussions if needed, that way you both have the ability to point out what was agreed upon.
