I’m going to offer the opposite news in my neck of the woods. 

A few quick observations: Is S8 not running mandatory annual inspections in your neck of the woods? 

They would be recorded on title.In our neck of the woods, there have been developments of these over the years and don't hold their value very well.I agree with @Clint Barrett that you may be better off with SFR's.

In otherwords, there is no-such thing as an earthquake-proof building.But we can greatly reduce the chances of damage, injury, or death in existing buildings by retrofitting them (we know a lot more about proper construction than we did even 30 years ago.

So there are multiple necks to squeeze when purchasing from them.Just like most turnkeys you’re going to pay top dollar on the homes, so there is little to no room for BRRRR, and the properties they sell are below 60K - so most banks wont put a mortgage on them.

I unfortunately had to stop competing due to training to hard and never allowing injuries to heal properly.
