I spoke with an experienced realtor today, and he told me something I thought I would pass on.He told me that here in Colorado, part of the recent foreclosure increase has been homes owned by inexperienced real estate flippers.He said that many people are rushing into the REI business, spurred on by the various infomercials and TV shows that feature flipping homes.

I watch numerous property TV shows (such as the property brothers), or that one show where they buy a house via auction and all they're allowed to do is look at it from the outside, make the decision to bid, and instantly they can make $60,000 just by buying it or by a real downer where they have to fix a bunch of stuff before they sell again....

there are different levels of training.not all are worthless.. not by a long shot.although the one's that main pitch is that YOU too can get rich with little or no money.OR you don't need money for real estate and the way to do it is wholesaling.then yes I agree.but there are advanced HOW TO trainers that for the well capitalized student they can bring value.but agree the mass marketed TV Guru's generally only 10% of those that sign up will ever do anything with the information.. real estate is not a get rich quick generally speaking.. can you make a nice living yes.. is there just like any other industry an apprenticeship period yes...
