However between that modest salary bump, and the half million in student loan debt (they're already conditioned to go as far in debt as someone will let them, self selection bias is a thing), they can get jammed up.That same doctor in Idaho has the same amount of student loan debt, makes 25% less, and a $900k home is a REALLY nice home.

@Graham Dersley I came here to impart some wisdom, but I see @Jay Hinrichs and @James Wise have beat me to it ;) While I may be personally biased toward turnkey, conservative as I am, but I think I maintain a pretty unbiased attitude here on BP - both the self-assembled team route and turnkey have merit and both work for many many people.

Looks to me like we might have folks who have preconceived notions about something someone will post and they are caught in biased thinking before they ever read a post, or, they read into it where their bias takes them, instead of actually reading what is said.If you only come to do battle in the forums, you're not going to get much out of them.
