My best advice would be to divorce yourself from the notion that you will clear money like all those emails bigger pockets sends out on a daily basis of people buying place with no money down, or making 2000 a month from homes less than 100k or all the silly things they put out on a daily basis.

I guess what I was thinking is if I'm getting (for easy numbers) $1000/month in rent and mortgage is $500 should i take some or all of the extra cash flow and pay more on mortgage or not?

The more they increase those expenses, the lower the price goes, as you know.The estoppel letter is for tenants to say they have not prepaid any rent, the security deposits are as represented by the current owner, there are no side agreements either oral or written, there are no unresolved repair requests and the tenants have no claims or disputes with the current owner.

The Euro is, probably going to catch up with the GBP but at the moment i feel that you'd be better off in getting a CD in one or all of the above countries, hell maybe even somewhere in the middle east like syria, or Iraq if you feel like speculating.
