The short answer is...I'm not taxed differently than a resident except that I need to consolidate all of my worldwide income and tax deductions and then pay tax on the remainder.

Great place to live, nice communities and a hot tourist destination.

I have focused outside the core city center which I found quite expensive and a better potential for short-term tourist rentals to make the numbers work.

The town is a super interesting historical place, recently discovered by the world and now FULL of tourists from all over the world year round. 

A way to determine this is to get a feel for local occupancy rates - PCB is a big tourist destination, but there's also a ton of STRs already there, so see if you can get a feel for a typical occupancy rate.
